Renin, an aspartic protease, plays an important role in blood pressure regulation and is therefore a target for anti-hypertension therapeutics. The FRET-based Renin Substrate 1 can be used to investigate the kinetics of renin and to screen renin inhibitors in a microplate or cuvette-based assay.
