The cell-permeant Rhod-3 is a visible light-excitable, high affinity Ca2+ indicator that upon cell loading locates primarily in the cytoplasm. With excitation⁄emission maxima of 556⁄579 nm, Rhod-3 can be used simultaneous with green fluorescent dyes.
