The CD2, clone S5.5, Qdot® 705 nanocrystal conjugate is a mouse monoclonal antibody (mAb) that recognizes the CD2 antigen. The Qdot® 705 nanocrystal conjugate may be used in the same way as conventional antibody conjugates and is most often used with 405 nm excitation, permitting simultaneous multicolor labeling of multiple targets off the violet laser. Alternatively, the nanocrystal can be excited by any laser up to the wavelength at which it absorbs.

Specificity for CD2
This antibody recognizes the CD2 antigen. CD2 serves as an adhesion molecule via the binding of lymphocyte function associated antigen-3 (LFA-3), also known as CD58. CD2 is expressed on thymocytes, T cells, and NK cells.
