The CD4, clone S3.5, Qdot® 705 nanocrystal conjugate is a monoclonal mouse antibody that recognizes the CD4 antigen also known as T4 and L3T4. The Qdot® 705 nanocrystal conjugate may be used in the same way as conventional antibody conjugates and permits simultaneous multicolor labeling and detection of multiple targets with excitation by a single excitation source-the 488 nm line of the argon-ion laser, or alternatively via excitation at 405 nm.

Specificity for CD4
This antibody recognizes the CD4 antigen also known as T4 and L3T4. CD4 serves as a co-receptor during T-cell activation through the binding of MHC Class II molecules. CD4 is also the receptor for HIV. CD4 is expressed on helper T cells, thymocyte subsets, and to a lesser extent on peripheral blood monocytes.
