Standard Beacon™ 2000 System, 110V (360-700 nm) -"DISCONTINUED"
Cat. No. P2300
The Beacon™ 2000 Fluorescence Polarization System is an ideal tool for basic research and assay development. Two versions, Standard and Red-Range, are available.Standard Beacon™ 2000 System:The Standard Beacon™ 2000 System uses a quartz-halogen lamp that yields a usable wavelength range of 360-700 nm. It accommodates all applications and fluorophores within this spectrum.Red-Range Beacon™ 2000 System:The Red-Range Beacon™ 2000 System provides the ultimate in flexibility, with detection capabilities in the ultraviolet and visible ranges (254-900 nm). The Red-Range System is equipped with both quartz-halogen and mercury lamps as well as Glan-Taylor prism polarizers. Although designed for extended-range applications and fluorophores, it fully accommodates all Standard Beacon™ 2000 System applications. Both the Standard and Red-Range systems offer these features:
- A choice of 10 mm diameter (minimum 500 µl) or 6 mm diameter (minimum 100 µl) sample chambers (the 6 mm diameter sample chamber is included with the purchase price; the 10 mm chamber is available separately)
- External filter holders to accommodate a wide range of different wavelength interference filters
- A filter pair for use with fluorescein (488 and 535 nm); please contact Invitrogen to order customized filters for other fluorophores
