AmpliTaq® DNA Polymerase is a 94 kDa, thermostable, recombinant DNA polymerase obtained by expression of a modified form of the Thermus aquaticus (Taq) DNA polymerase gene in E. coli. It is the most thoroughly characterized enzyme available from Life Technologies for the PCR process, and its recombinant nature and purification method provide unparalleled purity and reproducibility, vial-to-vial, lot-to-lot.
• Thermostability – Half-life is approximately 40 minutes at 95°C
• Flexibility – Optimal activity range same as annealing temperature of most primers (55°C–75°C)

AmpliTaq® DNA Polymerase is supplied with GeneAmp® 10X PCR Buffer II and MgCl2 Solution. It is also available with GeneAmp® 10X PCR Buffer I.
