The Glycophorin A (CD235A), clone CLB-ery-1 (also known as AME-1), fluorescein (FITC) conjugate is a monoclonal mouse antibody that is specific to the human CD235A antigen and recognizes the expressed product of the GYPA gene. Commonly used, FITC conjugates provide relatively high absorptivity, excellent fluorescence quantum yield, and good water solubility.

Specificity for CD235A
This antibody recognizes a papain-sensitive epitope in the extracellular domain of the sialoglycoprotein known as glycophorin A (CD235a). This molecule is expressed on mature red blood cells as well as on erythroid precursor cells. In addition to immunostaining for flow cytometry, this antibody has been reported to be useful for fluorescence microscopy and western blot analysis.
