The CD55, clone 67 (N-L063), R-PE (phycoerythrin) conjugate is a monoclonal mouse antibody that is reactive to the human CD55 antigen and recognizes the expressed product of the CD55 gene. R-PE is a stable and highly soluble phycobiliprotein that provides maximal absorbance and fluorescence without susceptibility to internal or external fluorescence quenching, thus providing an exceptional quantum yields and molar extinction coefficients. Use of R-PE in antibody conjugates provides probes with greatly enhanced detectability.


Specificity for CD55
This antibody recognizes the CD55 antigen. Also known as Decay Accelerating Factor (DAF), the CD55 antigen interferes with the assembly of the C3 convertases of the complement system to prevent the damage of cells from autologous complement. The CD55 antigen is expressed on cells of hematopoietic and non-hematopoietic origin.
