The CD38, clone HIT2, fluorescein (FITC) conjugate is a monoclonal mouse antibody that recognizes the human CD38 antigen and the expressed product of the CD38 gene. Commonly used, the fluorescein conjugates provide relatively high absorptivity, excellent fluorescence quantum yield, and good water solubility.

Specificity for CD38
This antibody recognizes the CD38 antigen. This antigen is expressed on terminally differentiated B cells (plasma cells) as well as on thymocytes and T cells. The molecule is also expressed on monocytes, macrophages, dendritic cells and some epithelial cells. On T-cells the molecule is reported to have NAD glycohydrolase activity.
