The CD8, clone 3B5, Pacific Orange™ dye conjugate is a monoclonal mouse antibody that recognizes the CD8 antigen also known as T8 and Lyt2,3. Our Pacific Orange™ dye is optimally excited by the violet laser, and it is recommended that a 575, 585 or 600 nm band pass filter be used for optimal detection. Pacific Orange™ and Pacific Blue™ dye conjugates can be simultaneously excited at 405 nm and emit at 551 nm and 455 nm, respectively, facilitating two-color analysis.


Specificity for CD8
This antibody recognizes the CD8 antigen also known as T8 and Lyt2,3. This antibody recognizes the α-chain alone as well as the αβ heterodimer. CD8 serves as a coreceptor during T-cell activation through the binding of MHC Class I molecules. CD8 is expressed on thymocyte subsets and cytotoxic T cells.
