This product is a mouse monoclonal antibody to the human CD8 antigen that is conjugated to Pacific Blue™. With a peak emission wavelength of 455 nm, Pacific Blue™ conjugates are strongly fluorescent at neutral pH and ideally suited for 450 nm Em band pass filter sets off the violet laser.
Every Lot is Tested in Flow Cytometry
Each lot is tested by flow cytometry using human peripheral blood leukocytes (PBL). Based on this testing we suggest using 5 µl of antibody per 1 x 10e6 cells in a 100 µl staining volume. Because conditions may vary, it is recommended that each investigator determine the optimal amount of antibody to be used for each application.

Specific for CD8
According to the literature this antibody recognizes the CD8 antigen, also known as T8 and Lyt2,3. This antibody recognizes the α chain alone as well as the α β heterodimer. CD8 serves as a co-receptor during T-cell activation through the binding of MHC Class I molecules. CD8 is expressed on thymocyte subsets and cytotoxic T cells.
