The CD4, clone S3.5, PerCP (peridinin-chlorophyll proteins) conjugate is a monoclonal mouse antibody that recognizes the CD4 antigen also known as T4 and L3T4. Peridinin-chlorophyll proteins (PerCP) are complexes found in nature. They are excited by the 488 nm line of the argon-ion laser and have a large Stokes shift, providing minmal spectral overlap into the R-PE channel. These complexes were developed and by BD Biosciences.

Specificity for CD4
This antibody recognizes the CD4 antigen also known as T4 and L3T4. CD4 serves as a co-receptor during T-cell activation through the binding of MHC Class II molecules. CD4 is also the receptor for HIV. CD4 is expressed on helper T cells, thymocyte subsets, and to a lesser extent on peripheral blood monocytes.
