The CD4, clone S3.5, Pacific Orange™ conjugate is a monoclonal mouse antibody that recognizes the CD4 antigen also known as T4 and L3T4. Our Pacific Orange™ dye is optimally excited by the violet laser, and it is recommended that a 575, 585 or 600 nm band pass filter be used for optimal detection. Pacific Orange™ and Pacific Blue™ dye conjugates can be simultaneously excited at 405 nm and emit at 551 nm and 455 nm, respectively, facilitating two-color analysis.

Specificity for CD4
This antibody recognizes the CD4 antigen also known as T4 and L3T4. CD4 serves as a co-receptor during T-cell activation through the binding of MHC Class II molecules. CD4 is also the receptor for HIV. CD4 is expressed on helper T cells, thymocyte subsets, and to a lesser extent on peripheral blood monocytes.
