This mouse monoclonal antibody to the human CD4 antigen is conjugated to Pacific Blue™, which has a peak emission wavelength of 455 nm. Pacific Blue™ conjugates are strongly fluorescent at neutral pH and ideally suited for 450 Em band pass filter sets off the violet laser.
Every Lot is Tested by Flow Cytometry
Each lot is tested by flow cytometry using human peripheral blood leukocytes (PBL). Based on this testing we suggest using 5 µl of antibody per 1 x 10e6 cells in a 100 µl staining volume. Because conditions may vary, it is suggested that each investigator determine the optimal amount of antibody to be used for each application.

Specific for CD4
According to the literature this antibody recognizes the CD4 antigen also known as T4 and L3T41. CD4 serves as a co-receptor during T-cell activation through the binding of MHC Class II molecules, and is the receptor for HIV. CD4 is expressed on helper T cells, thymocyte subsets, and to a lesser extent on peripheral blood monocytes.
