The CD4, clone S3.5, R-phycoerythrin (R-PE)-Cy®5.5 tandem conjugate is a monoclonal mouse antibody that recognizes the CD4 antigen also known as T4 and L3T4. The R-phycoerythrin (R-PE)-Cy®5.5 tandem conjugate permits simultaneous multicolor labeling and detection of multiple targets with excitation by a single excitation source-the 488 nm line of the argon-ion laser.

Specificity for CD4
This antibody recognizes the CD4 antigen also known as T4 and L3T4. CD4 serves as a co-receptor during T-cell activation through the binding of MHC Class II molecules. CD4 is also the receptor for HIV. CD4 is expressed on helper T cells, thymocyte subsets, and to a lesser extent on peripheral blood monocytes.
