Sensitive and Easy-to-Run Sandwich ELISA
The kit is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked Immuno Sorbent Assay (ELISA). A monoclonal antibody specific for Rat GH has been coated onto the wells of the microtiter strips provided. During the first incubation, standards of known Rat GH content, controls, and unknown samples are pipetted into the wells. After washing, biotinylated secondary antibody is added. After washing, Streptavidin Peroxidase (enzyme) is added. This binds to the biotinylated antibody to complete the four member sandwich. After a third incubation and washing to remove all the unbound enzyme, a substrate solution is added, which is acted upon by the bound enzyme to produce color. The intensity of this colored product is directly proportional to the concentration of Rat GH present in the original specimen.

Fast 4-hour Protocol
The kit comes with the capture antibody pre-coated to the plate, eliminating the need for you to coat the plate. The total incubation time is 4 hours with 3 wash steps.

Convenient Kit Format – Run as few samples as you want
The pre-coated wells come as removable 8-well strips allowing you to tailor the assay size to your needs. Two standard vials are provided to give you the option of reconstituting a new vial should you decide to not run the entire plate at a time.

Rigorous Validation

The assay has also been tested for protein recovery in serum, plasma, and supernatant matrices (Figure 2).
