The Human IL-6 Chemi ELISA Kit is designed to detect and quantify low amounts, as well as a wide range, of human IL-6 levels in serum, plasma, and supernatant using 96-well plates and a microplate reader. This product is an alternative product for SKUs KHC0064, KHC0063, and KHC0064C.

High Sensitivity and Broad Dynamic Range
The Human IL-6 Chemi ELISA Kit employs a chemiluminescent substrate as an indicator of antigen levels. Chemiluminescence readout offers an improvement in assay sensitivity and dynamic range compared to colorimetric readout. This enables detection of proteins at low levels that otherwise would not be detected using other methods. In addition, the broad dynamic range minimizes sample dilutions to help ensure protein measurements fall within the range of the assay.

Easy-to-Run Sandwich ELISA
The total assay incubation time is only 3 hours and 30 minutes. A monoclonal capture antibody specific for Human IL-6 has been coated onto the wells of the 96-well plate provided. Samples, including a standard of known Human IL-6 content, controls, and unknowns, are pipetted into these wells and allowed to incubate. After washing, the AP-conjugated detector antibody is added and binds to the antigen on a second site. After washing, a chemiluminescent substrate is added. The relative luminescence units (RLU) can be read on a microplate reader with chemiluminescence capability (luminometer) and are proportional to the concentration of Human IL-6 present.
