Easy-to-Run Sandwich ELISA
The Aβ40 ELISA kit is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno-Sorbent Assay (ELISA). A monoclonal antibody specific for the NH2-terminus of human Aβ has been coated onto the wells of the microtiter strips provided. During the first incubation, standards of known human Aβ40 content, controls, and unknown samples are pipetted into the wells and co-incubated with a rabbit antibody specific for the COOH-terminus of the 1-40 Aβ sequence. Bound rabbit antibody is detected by the use of a horseradish peroxidase-labeled anti-rabbit antibody. Samples are quantitated by standard curve generated from the recombinant Aβ40 included with the kit (Figure 1).

Results typically in one day – Rapid 4-hour Incubation Protocol
The kit comes with the capture antibody pre-coated to the wells, eliminating the need for you to coat the plate. No overnight incubation needed. The incubation steps can be performed in 4 hours.

Precision -<10% CV Inter-assay and Intra-assay
The kits are validated for precision to help ensure that results are consistent within a plate, between plates, and between lots (Figure 2).

Economical Removable Wells
The pre-coated wells come as removable 8-well strips allowing you to tailor the assay size to your needs. Two standard vials are provided to give you the option of reconstituting a new vial should you choose to not run the entire plate at a time.
