The iBlot® Western Detection Kit uses the iBlot® Dry Blotting System to speed up your western detection. Reduce the time needed for western detection from overnight to typically less than 30 minutes. The iBlot® Western Detection Kit comes with iBlot® anode and cathode stacks specific for western detection and the reagents for visualizing your proteins. Pick the size, secondary antibody, and detection method appropriate for your research.
 Size: Regular (13.5 cm x 8 cm)
•  Secondary antibody: Anti-Mouse
•  Detection Method: Chemiluminescent

Antibody Matrix
The iBlot® Western Detection antibody matrix (Fig 1) is used to block your membrane, and transfer primary and secondary antibodies to the membrane. Blocking takes two minutes and each transfer step takes three minutes (see Protocol).

Note: A fresh antibody matrix is used for each transfer step.

Visualize Your Protein by Chromogen or Chemiluminescence
After binding the primary and secondary antibodies to the membrane, use the included detection reagents for visualizing your antigens. You have your choice of chemiluminescent or chromogenic detection. The appropriate reagents for visualizing the antigen by chemiluminescent or chromogic detection are included.

The iBlot® Western Detection Kit is compatible with either PVDF or nitrocellulose membranes. The iBlot® Western Detection Kit is compatible with either membranes prepared by wet, semi-wet, dry, or iBlot® transfer.

Each kit comes with iBlot® Western Detection stacks and reagents for 10 membranes.

For Research Use Only. Not intended for animal or human therapeutic or diagnostic use.
