Novex® Tris-Glycine Express Kits are a convenient and cost-effective way to obtain small quantities of pre-cast tris-glycine gels and pre-stained protein standard.
Each kit includes:
• 5 Novex® 4-20% Tris-Glycine Mini Gels, 1.5 mm, 15 well • 50 µl of SeeBlue® Pre-Stained Standard
Novex® Tris-Glycine Mini Gels Novex® Tris-Glycine Mini Gels are polyacrylamide gels based on traditional Laemmli protein electrophoresis. Novex® Tris-Glycine Gels provide reproducible separation of a wide range of proteins into well-resolved bands.
• Individually packaged gels for optimal experiment design • Compatible with most protein standards • Usable for native and denaturing protein assays
Novex® Tris-Glycine gels do not contain SDS and can be used to run your proteins in native form or in denatured form. For denatured proteins, we recommend using Novex® Tris-Glycine SDS Sample Buffer and Novex® Tris- Glycine SDS Running Buffer. For native proteins, we recommend using Novex® Tris-Glycine Native Sample Buffer and Novex® Tris-Glycine Native Running Buffer. For transferring your proteins to membrane, use the iBlot® Dry Blotting System or the Xcell II™ Blot Module and Novex® Tris-Glycine Transfer Buffer.
SeeBlue® Pre-Stained Standard The SeeBlue® Pre-Stained Protein Standard allows you to estimate the molecular weight of a wide range of proteins, easily monitor the progress of your gel run, and judge western transfer efficiency. The standard is provided in a convenient, pre-mixed, ready-to-use format. It can be used with tris-glycine, NuPAGE®, and tricine gels. With the SeeBlue® Standard, you get:
• 9 polypeptides that resolve into sharp, tight blue bands in the range of 4 kDa to 250 kDa (depending upon buffer system) • An excellent indicator for judging western transfer efficiency • A ready-to-use format—no mixing, heating, or reducing required
Note: This standard is pre-reduced and does not contain reducing reagents in the loading buffer.
