The 96 Deep Well Block is designed for experimental protocols that require volumes exceeding the capacity of conventional microtiter plates. With its 2.2 ml capacity per well, the 96 Deep Well Block can be used for manual sample processing or for high-throughput, automated processing using a liquid handling robot. Each 96 Deep Well Block features:

• 96 square-diameter wells, conforming to proposed SBS microplate standards
• Conical-shaped well bottom to facilitate sample retrieval
• 2.2 ml working volume per well when left unsealed or when sealed with an adhesive or heat seal
• Support and stacking ribs


The 96 Deep Well Block is designed to fit onto the magnetic base station of the 96-well Magnetic Separator (CS15096), which associates an array of 24 neodymium magnets with the samples for on-the-magnet and off-the-magnet sample processing. In addition, the 96 Deep Well Block is completely compatible with the magnetic bead-based technology provided in these ChargeSwitch® Kits:
