According to the literature this antibody recognizes the CD29 antigen. CD29 is the β1 subunit of the integrin family of adhesion receptors. CD29 associates with CD49a to form the VLA-1 integrin. CD29 is expressed on T cells (mainly memory T cells), B cells, monocytes, platelets, fibroblasts, endothelial cells, mast cells and weakly on neutrophils.
