This mouse monoclonal antibody to the human CD3 antigen is conjugated to Pacific Orange™. With a peak emission wavelength of 551 nm, Pacific Orange™ conjugates are strongly fluorescent at neutral pH and ideally suited for 550 nm Em band pass filter sets off the violet laser. This product is an analyte specific reagent. Anti-CD3 recognizes the expressed product of the CD3D gene. For intracellular staining, cat. no. GM4013-5 is recommended.
Every Lot is Tested by Flow Cytometry
Each lot is tested by flow cytometry using human peripheral blood leukocytes (PBL). This testing was performed using 5 µl of antibody per 1 x 10e6 cells in a 100 µl staining volume. Because conditions may vary, it is recommended that each investigator determine the optimal amount of antibody to be used for each application.

Antigen Specificity
The UCHT1 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD3ε, a 20 kDa subunit of the TCR/CD3 complex. Along with the other CD3 subunits γ and δ, the ε chain is required for proper assembly, trafficking and surface expression of the TCR complex2. CD3 is expressed by developing thymocytes and by all mature T cells. Crosslinking of TCR via immobilized UCHT1 results in T-cell proliferation.
