The CD3, clone UCHT1, Pacific Orange™ dye conjugate is a monoclonal antibody that is reactive to the human CD3 antigen and recognizes the expressed product of the CD3D gene. Our Pacific Orange™ dye is optimally excited by the violet laser, and it is recommended that a 575, 585, or 600 nm band pass filter be used for optimal detection. Pacific Orange™ and Pacific Blue™ dye conjugates can be simultaneously excited at 405 nm and emit at 551 nm and 455 nm, respectively, facilitating two-color analysis.

Specificity for CD3
The UCHT1 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD3ε, a 20 kDa subunit of the TCR/CD3 complex. Along with the other CD3 subunits γ and δ, the ε chain is required for proper assembly, trafficking, and surface expression of the TCR complex2. CD3 is expressed by developing thymocytes and by all mature T cells. Crosslinking of TCR via immobilized UCHT1 results in T-cell proliferation.
