No More Manual CountingThe Countess® Automated Cell Counter eliminates the tedium and subjectivity of manual cell counting. Automated cell counting frees up your time, reduces eyestrain, and minimizes subjective judgments that can lead to errors.
The Countess® Automated Cell Counter works in 3 simple steps:
1. Mix 10 µL of sample with 10 µL of trypan blue, and pipet into a disposable Countess® chamber slide.
2. Insert the slide into the instrument.
3. Press the "Count cells" button.
That’s it: get the total cell count, percent viable cells, and average cell size in as little as 30 seconds.
Get Accurate Cell Counts The Countess® Automated Cell Counter uses trypan blue staining combined with a sophisticated image analysis algorithm to obtain accurate cell and viability counts. The Countess® Automated Cell Counter also measures average cell sizes of live, dead, and total cells to give you all the data you need to proceed with your experiments. The measurement range extends from 1 x 10
4 to 1 x 10
7 cells⁄mL (the optimal range is 1 x 10
5 to 4 x 10
6 cells⁄mL), which is broader than that of a hemocytometer. The optimal cell size is 5–60 µm. A built-in dilution calculator even helps you determine how to prepare your sample for your next passage or experiment.
Simple Operation With Application VersatilityThe Countess® Automated Cell Counter is easy to use—just plug it in and go. The Countess® Automated Cell Counter has an intuitive user interface that also includes a dilution calculator. Automated cell counting with the Countess® counter allows you to perform experiments that are difficult or impossible using a hemocytometer.
Transfer Data and Images to Your PCA USB port allows you to save your cell count results and images and transfer them to your PC on any USB drive. The Countess® Automated Cell Counter comes with a USB drive for your convenience.
The free Countess® software for PC can be downloaded and used to analyze your cell count data and to export your data to convenient PDF format. The USB port can also be used for upgrading the Countess® Automated Cell Counter firmware.
Use With a Wide Variety of CellsThe Countess® Automated Cell Counter has been validated with
many cell lines from multiple tissue types and species. You can also
order beads for testing the accuracy of your Countess® Automated Cell Counter.
