The Ambion® MicroPoly(A)Purist™ Kit rapidly enriches for mRNA from total RNA or small amounts of cells or tissue. This robust method provides pure mRNA while minimizing ribosomal RNA contamination.
• Increase the specificity of poly(A) selection • Recover and enrich the transcriptome with a single round of selection • Prepare mRNA from purified total RNA or directly from tissue/cells
Novel Solutions for mRNA Isolation The MicroPoly(A)Purist™ Kit can recover 3 µg of highly enriched mRNA from 50 mg of tissue or 108 mammalian cells. Life Technologies' scientists have developed novel binding and wash solutions that greatly increase the specificity of poly(A) selection while also reducing procedure time thanks to a convenient spin cartridge protocol (Figure 4). Typically, only a single round of poly(A) selection is required when starting with total RNA. Ribosomal RNA and small RNA molecules (transfer RNA, microRNA, small nucleolar RNA, and small cytoplasmic RNA) are not recovered. Only highly enriched poly(A) RNA is captured, resulting in higher yields (Figures 1 & 2) and cleaner preparations (Figure 3) than those produced using other kits.
RNA is Suitable for All Downstream Molecular Applications including: • Gene cloning • cDNA synthesis, cDNA library construction • RT-PCR, Quantitative RT-PCR • RPA (Ribonuclease Protection Assay) • Subtractive hybridization • Dot/slot hybridization • Primer extension
