Specific for MFE2
This monoclonal antibody specifically recognizes MFE2, a bifunctional enzyme that is involved in the peroxisomal beta-oxidation pathway for fatty acids. MFE2 also acts as a catalyst for the formation of 3-ketoacyl-CoA intermediates from both straight-chain and 2-methyl-branched-chain fatty acids. Defects in MFE2 that affect the peroxisomal fatty acid beta-oxidation activity are a cause of D-bifunctional protein deficiency (DBPD). (Entrez Gene: 3295)

Invitrogen—Your Assurance of Reliability and Quality
As part of the Invitrogen antibody family, this MFE2 mouse monoclonal antibody is backed by Invitrogen’s quality control and technical support. This antibody has been validated in immunocytochemistry, immunoprecipitation, and in-cell ELISA.
