This antibody is purified IgG fraction from rabbit serum raised against green fluorescent protein (GFP). The GFP was isolated directly from the jellyfish Aequorea victoria. The IgG fraction waspurified by ion-exchange chromatography to remove nonspecificimmunoglobulins and conjugated to our bright, photostable,green-fluorescent Alexa Fluor® 488 dye.
