The CD34, clone 581, APC-Cy®7 conjugate is a mouse monoclonal antibody (mAb) that recognizes the human CD34 antigen. The APC-Cy®7 tandem conjugate that combines APC (allophycocyanin) and a cyanine dye (Cy7). It allows for multicolor measurements using excitation by lasers that emit from 633 to 650 nm.

Specific for CD34
CD34 (cluster of differentiation 34) is a cell surface glycoprotein that functions as a cell-cell adhesion factor and is also a type I monomeric sialomucin-like glycophosphoprotein. It is expressed selectively on most hematopoietic stem cells, embryonic fibroblasts, bone marrow stromal cells, capillary endothelial cells, testicular cells, and some nervous tissue. Although little is known about its exact function, CD34 is required for T-cells entry into lymph nodes. CD34 is expressed on lymph node endothelia whereas its ligand CD62L (L-selectin), to which it binds, is on the T cell. However, under other circumstances CD34 has been shown to block mast cell adhesion or facilitate the opening of vascular lumens. Regardless of their mode of action, under all circumstances CD34 has been shown to facilitate cell migration.
