Specific for CD278
CD278, also known as inducible costimulatory molecule (ICOS), is a co-stimulatory molecule that forms homodimers and is expressed on activated T-cells and a subset of thymocytes. It is involved in the stimulation of cell proliferation, Th2 cell development, and B cell germinal center formation within the humoral immune response. The CD278 (ICOS) hamster monoclonal antibody (mAb) reacts with the human, mouse, and rat CD278 antigens.
