The CD279 (PD-1), clone 29F.1A12, PE-Cy®7 conjugate is a rat monoclonal antibody (mAb) that recognizes the mouse CD279 antigen. The R-phycoerythrin (PE)-Cy®7 tandem conjugate permits simultaneous multicolor labeling and detection of multiple targets with excitation by a single excitation source – the 488 nm line of the argon-ion laser.


Specific for CD279
CD279, also known as programmed cell death 1 (PD-1), is a glycoprotein belonging to extended CD28/CTLA-4 family of T-cell regulators. Its two ligands, PD-L1 and PD-L2, are members of the B7 family. Expressed on activated splenic T cells, B lymphocytes, thymocytes, and activated myeloid cells, CD279 is involved in lymphocyte clonal selection and peripheral tolerance, while it also plays a role in shaping the diverse population of lymphocytes for the T-cell repertoire.
