The CD19, clone D5, Pacific Blue™ conjugate is a rat monoclonal antibody (mAb) that recognizes the mouse CD19 antigen. Our Pacific Blue™ dye is optimally excited by the violet laser and conjugates of this dye are strongly fluorescent even at neutral pH. Since Pacific Blue™ and Pacific Orange™ dye conjugates can be simultaneously excited at 405 nm and emit at 455 nm and 551 nm, respectively, they conveniently facilitate two-color analysis.


Specific for CD19
CD19, also known as B lymphocyte antigen, is a glycoprotein belonging to the immunoglobulin (Ig) superfamily. It is an important marker for B cell development. CD19 is present from early B cell progenitors to B cell blasts, but is lost upon maturation to plasma cells. For activation of mature B cells, CD19 is important as a co-receptor protein in the B cell co-receptor complex, which includes CD21 (CR2) and CD81 (TAPA-1). CD19 is also expressed by follicular dendritic cells.
