The CD117 (c-Kit), clone 2B8, PerCP-Cy®5.5 conjugate is a rat monoclonal antibody (mAb) that recognizes the mouse CD117 (c-Kit) antigen. The PerCP-Cy®5.5 tandem conjugate combines the peridinin-chlorophyll proteins (PerCP) complexes, found in nature, with the Cy®5.5 cyanine dye; thereby permitting simultaneous multicolor labeling and detection of multiple targets by utilizing a single excitation source - the 488 nm line of an argon-ion laser.


Specific for CD117 (c-Kit)
CD117, also known as c-Kit or mast/stem cell growth factor receptor (SCFR), is a transmembrane tyrosine kinase receptor belonging to the immunoglobulin (Ig) superfamily. It is expressed on mast cells, multipotent hematopoietic stem cells, precursors to B cells and T cells, and myeloerythroid progenitors. The interaction between CD117 and its ligands, which are stem cell factor (SCF) and mast cell growth factor (MGF), is critical to the proliferation, differentiation, and survival of hematopoietic progenitor cells.
