Specific for CD29
CD29 (cluster of differentiation 29) is a member of the integrin family which is expressed on leukocytes, endothelial cells, smooth muscle, and epithelial cells. CD29 is a beta integrin unit that associates with late-acting alpha integrin units to create heterodimeric integrin complex. Like other integrin family members, it is membrane-bound receptor involved in cell-cell interactions and cell-matrix interactions that may be involved in embryogenesis, tissue repair, and metastatic cancer. The CD29 Armenian hamster monoclonal antibody (mAb) reacts with both mouse and rat CD29.
