Specific for C24
CD24, also known as heat stable antigen CD24 (HSA) is a glycosyl phosphatidylinositol (GPI) linked protein expressed on lymphocytes, granulocytes, epithelial cells, thymocytes, monocytes, erythrocytes, and dendritic cells. It acts in adhesion, with a co-stimulatory role in T and B lymphocyte activation and differentiation. The CD24 rat monoclonal antibody (mAb) can be used to identify different stages of lymphocyte development, as the mouse CD24 expression levels vary during T and B cell differentiation.
