The CD45.2, clone 104, PerCP-Cy®5.5 conjugate is a mouse monoclonal antibody (mAb) that recognizes mouse CD45 molecule in CD45.2-expressing mouse strains. The PerCP-Cy®5.5 tandem conjugate combines the peridinin-chlorophyll proteins (PerCP) complexes, found in nature, with the Cy®5.5 cyanine dye; thereby permitting simultaneous multicolor labeling and detection of multiple targets by utilizing a single excitation source - the 488 nm line of an argon-ion laser.

CD45.2
The CD45 (Leucocyte Common Antigen, Ly-5) is an essential regulator of leukocyte activation and development. CD45 is a protein tyrosine phosphatase that dephosphorylates Src family protein kinases. This activity is required for signal transduction that is induced by T and B cell antigen receptor engagement, cytokine signaling, and Fc receptor stimulation. The functional state of CD45 also has a pronounced effect on lymphocyte development. It exists in multiple forms, such as restricted variant isoforms of CD45R (the result of alternative splicing of different exons) and the two allelic forms, CD45.1/Ly-5.1 and CD45.2/Ly-5.2. Notably, antibody specificity between CD45.1 and CD45.2 has been exploited in studies where resolution between donor and recipient cells is essential, such as in bone marrow transplantation and gene therapy.
