The CD45R (B220), clone RA3-6B2, PerCP-Cy^®5.5 conjugate is a rat monoclonal antibody (mAb) that recognizes an exon A-restricted isoform of mouse CD45. The PerCP-Cy^®5.5 tandem conjugate combines the peridinin-chlorophyll proteins (PerCP) complexes, found in nature, with the Cy^®5.5 cyanine dye; thereby permitting simultaneous multicolor labeling and detection of multiple targets by utilizing a single excitation source - the 488 nm line of an argon-ion laser.


CD45R (B220)
The rat anti-mouse CD45R (B220) monoclonal antibody (mAb) reacts with an exon A-specific epitope on CD45 that is expressed on virtually all B cells and is maintained throughout B cell development. The epitope is expressed in a restricted manner by B cells and is also present on lymphokine activated killer (LAK) cells. Although CD45R (B220) is widely used as a pan B cell marker, CD19 may be a more appropriate choice; since CD19 expression appears to be more closely restricted to B cells. Studies show that the rat anti-mouse CD45R (B220) mAb potentiates isotype switching in B cells and inhibits proliferative responses to B cell mitogens.
