The CD4, clone RM4-5, PerCP-Cy®5.5 conjugate is a rat monoclonal antibody (mAb) that recognizes CD4. The PerCP-Cy®5.5 tandem conjugate combines the peridinin-chlorophyll protein (PerCP) complexes, found in nature, with the Cy®5.5 cyanine dye; thereby permitting simultaneous multicolor labeling and detection of multiple targets by utilizing a single excitation source - the 488 nm line of an argon-ion laser.

CD4
The rat anti-mouse CD4 monoclonal antibody (mAb) reacts with the CD4 antigen expressed on the majority of thymocytes and on the MHC class II restricted subset of mature T cells, including Th cells. As a co-receptor in the TCR complex, CD4 is involved in T-cell activation through its interaction with MHC class II molecules on antigen presenting cells and in signal transduction via the tyrosine-protein kinase, Lck. Mouse CD4 antigen is also reported to be present on multipotential hematopoietic stem cells, bone marrow myeloid precursors, and intrathymic precursors.
