CD117 (c-kit)
The mouse anti-human CD117 monoclonal antibody (mAb) reacts with human CD117, a member of the tyrosine kinase receptor family. CD117 is expressed by subsets of hematopoietic progenitor cell and mast cells, where the interaction of CD117 and Steel factor promotes the proliferation and differentiation of hematopoietic progenitor cells and the differentiation of mast cells. CD117 is also expressed by and plays a role in the signaling and activation of melanocytes.
