The CD144, clone eBioBV13 (BV13), APC (allophycocyanin) conjugate is a rat monoclonal antibody (mAb) that recognizes CD144, also known as VE-cadherin. The conjugate, APC, is a stable and highly soluble phycobiliprotein which provides maximal absorbance and fluorescence without susceptibility to internal or external fluorescence quenching; thus, APC provides exceptional quantum yields, molar extinction coefficients, and greatly enhanced detectability.

CD144 (VE-cadherin)
The rat anti-mouse CD144 monoclonal antibody (mAb) reacts with mouse CD144, a member of the type II cadherin family. CD144 is expressed constitutively throughout the entire vasculature, consists of 5 extracellular cadherin domains (ECD), and is anchored to the actin cytoskeleton through its cytoplasmic tail. CD144 mediates homophilic adhesion between neighbouring endothelial cells and is localized within specialized adherens junctions at cell-cell contact points. It is required for numerous endothelial cell functions such as endothelial cell assembly into tubular structures, contact-dependent growth inhibition, migration, and survival.
