Leukocyte Workshop Status:
Mouse anti-human CD278 (ICOS) monoclonal antibody (mAb) reacts with human CD278, which is a T-cell specific activation molecule and a member of the CD28/CTLA-4 family. Human CD278 is composed of 27 kDa and 29 kDa chains. Expressed on activated T cells, it has potent co-stimulatory effect on T-cell activation and proliferation and it is required for humoral immune responses (particularly for memory B cell and plasma cell generation). The CD278 ligand, B7h/B7RP-1, is expressed on activated antigen presenting cells and on a number of inflamed peripheral tissues.
