TargetSeq™Oligo Blockers are designed to enable multiplexed library enrichment with all TargetSeq™Enrichment kits. The blocker oligonucleotides function to prevent cross-hybridization of the library adaptors during the solution-phase DNA probe capture step of the target enrichment protocol. TargetSeq™Oligo Blocker 1-16 contains an optimized mixture of P2 adaptors containing barcodes 1-16 and must be used in combination with TargetSeq™Oligo Blocker P1
. These blocker oligos are sold individually but are used together during the library capture in order to block the adapters at both ends of the library molecules. TargetSeq™Oligo Blocker 1-16 is compatible with SOLiD® 4 and 5500 genetic analyzer fragment libraries that use the P1 sequencing adaptor and P2 adaptor barcodes 1-16.

TargetSeq™Oligo Blocker 1-16 is a mixture of 16 blocker oligos that have been validated to provide optimal performance during multiplexed (4-plex) sample enrichment using full length barcoded libraries. Typical on-target read percentages are 70-85%, indicating that the blocker oligos are effectively preventing adaptor cross-hybridization during capture.Convenience of Ready-to-Use Solution
