Anti-Alexa Fluor® 488, Rabbit IgG Fraction complements our Alexa Fluor 488 dye-containing probes. Using a dye as a hapten, rather than using biotin or DNP, allows visualization of probes before subsequent development steps. The anti-Alexa Fluor 488 antibody has a high affinity for the Alexa Fluor 488 fluorophore, and like many anti-dye antibodies, quenches most of the fluorescence of the dye upon binding.
