GIBCO® StemPro® LipoMAX is a human derived lipoprotein-based cell culture supplement for stem cells. Lipoproteins contribute a critical role in the regulation and maintenance of cellular growth and metabolism. Requirements of specific stem cell lines may vary, however the actions of lipoproteins in serum-free cell culture media formulations has been documented. The primary function of use of a lipoprotein-based supplement is as a source and delivery mechanism for lipids and cholesterol to cultured cells. All blood donors have been tested and found negative for HbsAg, HCV, HIV-1 & 2, Syphilis and HIV-1 Antigen by currently approved FDA methods.
