The AcroMetrix® Wild-Type KRAS FFPE Controls are full-process controls that assist laboratories in assessing the performance of the complete KRAS testing workflow, including the isolation, purification, and detection of wild-yype KRAS DNA in formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) samples.

The AcroMetrix® Wild-Type KRAS FFPE Controls have been formulated to mimic FFPE tissues and are designed to monitor all procedural steps in the extraction of human DNA from FFPE samples. The intact human cells allow for the verification of effective DNA extraction and purification. KRAS test methodology must include deparaffinization and extraction steps that release the DNA for amplification and detection, as appropriate to the test. Expected results utilizing the AcroMetrix® Wild-Type KRAS FFPE Controls must be established by the end user for their particular assay.
