The AcroMetrix® KRAS FFPE Process Controls are intended for use in assessing the performance of the isolation, purification, and detection of nucleic acid associated with specific KRAS mutations.

Routine use of the KRAS FFPE Process Controls enables laboratories to monitor day-to-day workflow precision and to identify possible variations such as lot-to-lot performance of assay reagents and operator variation. The AcroMetrix® KRAS FFPE Process Controls can also assist in identifying increases in random or systematic error in testing systems.

The AcroMetrix® KRAS FFPE Process Controls have been formulated to mimic formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissues and are designed to monitor all procedural steps in extracting human DNA from FFPE. The intact human cells allows for the verification of effective DNA extraction and purification. KRAS test methodology must include an extraction step that releases the DNA for amplification and detection, as appropriate to the test. Expected results utilizing the AcroMetrix® KRAS FFPE Process Controls must be established by the end user for their particular assay.
