This purified recombinant mouse monoclonal antibodyrecognizes human lethal (3) malignant brain tumor-like protein 3 (L3MBTL3).

L3MBTL3 is a putative polycomb group (PcG) protein that maintains the transcriptionally repressive state of genes by a modification of chromatin, rendering it heritably changed in its expressibility. It is required for normal maturation of myeloid progenitor cells. It interacts with RNF2. There are two isoforms of the human protein which are produced by alternative splicing. In humans, the gene is located on the q arm of chromosome 6.
