Cluster of Differentiation 28 (CD28), recombinant mouse protein is supplied as a lyophilized powder. It is suitable for use in studying protein-protein interactions, and cell biology research applications. It can also be used as a protein standard.

This recombinant protein was expressed from a DNA sequence encoding the extracellular domain (Met 1-Lys 149) of mouse CD28 precursor (NP_031668.3) fused to the polyhistidine-tagged Fc region of human IgG1 at the C-terminus.

Activity: Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA .
1. Immobilized mouse CD86 at 20 µg/ml (100 µl/well) can bind mouse CD28 -Fc with a linear range of 6.4-800 ng/ml .
2. Immobilized rat CD86 at 2 µg/ml (100 µl/well) can bind mouse CD28-Fc with a linear range of 6.4-160 ng/ml.

Formulation: Lyophilized in PBS, pH7.4, 5% Mannitol, 5% Trehalose, and 0.02% Tween-80.

Reconstitution: Dissolve the protein in sterile double distilled water to a concentration of 25 mg/ml or lower. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted and be used as soon as possible. Store aliquots under sterile conditions at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Expiration Date: Expires one year from date of receipt when stored as instructed.
