N-Acylsphingosine Amidohydrolase 2 (ASAH2), recombinant mouse protein is supplied as a lyophilized powder. It is suitable for use in protein studies such as enzymatic analysis and protein-protein interactions. In general, recombinant proteins can also be used as an immunogen, as a protein standard, or in cell biology research applications.

This recombinant protein was expressed from a DNA sequence encoding the Lumenal domain (Thr 34-Thr 756) of mouse ASAH2 (NP_061300.1) precursor fused to a N-terminal polyhistidine tag.

Activity: Measured by its ability to hydrolyze the substrate C12:0 ceramide into sphingosine and dodecanoic acid.The specific activity is>3,000 pmoles/min/µg.

Formulation: Lyophilized in PBS, pH 7.4, 5% Mannitol, 5% Trehalose, 0.02% Tween 80.

Reconstitution: Dissolve the protein in sterile double distilled water to a concentration of 0.2 mg/ml or lower. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted and be used as soon as possible. Store aliquots under sterile conditions at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
