Former Catalog No. A6458. Monoclonal antibody specific to Yeast . This antibody is validated for use in ICC⁄IF and WB. Alkaline Phosphatase is encoded by the PHO8, also known as PHO8, Pho8p, YDR481C, Repressible alkaline phosphatase, a glycoprotein localized to the vacuole; regulated by levels of inorganic phosphate and by a system consisting of Pho4p, Pho9p, Pho80p, Pho81p and Pho85p; dephosphorylates phosphotyrosyl peptides.
.
ALP, or Vacuolar Alkaline Phosphatase, is the product of the PH08 gene and an abundant integral membrane protein of the yeast vacuolar structure. MSZ07 binds all native, denatured, or fixed conformations of ALP tested to date. MSZ07 can be used for immunolocalization of yeast vacuolar membranes by indirect immunoflorescence of fixed yeast cell, for monitoring vacuolar membranes during subcellular fractionation of yeast organelles, and Western blotting.
